The Effective Series 2 slot  ATCA chassis offers the reliability and availability of the Telco-grade standards in a cost- effective package. Suitable for cost-sensitive, yet demanding applications, the Effective Series 2 slot chassis has been designed to maximize performance while minimizing costs. Based on the accumulated knowledge and experience in the implementation of the ATCA standard since its inception in 2001, the Effective Series 2 slot ATCA chassis incorporates the latest technologies available to reduce its price while maintaining performance and reliability. The Effective Series 2 slot ATCA chassis can be used for development or demonstration purposes with the possibility of deploying the same chassis as a final product, reducing its time to market.

In order to meet the ATCA standard and minimize cost, Asis has designed a cost effective cooling system for the Effective Series 2 slot  ATCA chassis. The cooling system implements a pressurized cooling method and the latest fan and airflow technologies. The system has been verified to meet the 200W per slot, while maintaining the NEBS requirement for noise reduction.  

The Effective Series 2 slot  ATCA chassis offers two shelf manager components to choose from:

Shelf Manager Pro - a fully featured shelf manager, based on Pigeon Point™ software. This shelf manager was developed in cooperation with Pigeon Point™ and designed to minimize footprint in order to reduce cost, while maintaining the highest performance and conformance with the ATCA standard.

 Shelf Manager Basic– a cost-effective and basic shelf manager, designed and developed by ASIS. This Shelf Manager does not include OEM shelf manger software as it offers the most basic functionality. The reduced cost software was designed to manage and control the fans only. The  Shelf  Manager Basic is perfect for cost-sensitive applications and for development purposes.
