Asis’ revolutionary horizontal 14 slot ATCA chassis design concept offers unprecedented thermal capabilities in a 12U chassis. The unique design has been tested and proved to offer outstanding efficiency in performance and cost.

In order to meet the ATCA standard and minimize cost, Asis has designed a cost effective revolutionary cooling system for the Effective Series 14 slot Horizontal ATCA chassis. The cooling system implements a pressurized cooling method, providing homogenized airflow covering the entire blade. The system has been verified to meet more than 250W per slot requirement, and it is the only 14 slot chassis able to cope with multiple AMC configurations.

The Effective Series 14 slot ATCA chassis offers two shelf manager components to choose from:

Shelf Manager Pro - a fully featured shelf manager, based on Pigeon Point™ software. This shelf manager was developed in cooperation with Pigeon Point™ and designed to minimize footprint in order to reduce cost, while maintaining the highest performance and conformance with the ATCA standard.

 Shelf Manager Basic– a cost-effective and basic shelf manager, designed and developed by ASIS. This Shelf Manager does not include OEM shelf manger software as it offers the most basic functionality. The reduced cost software was designed to manage and control the fans only. The  Shelf  Manager Basic is perfect for cost-sensitive applications and for development purposes.

Based on extensive practical experience and comprehensive signal integrity studies, Asis has been able to develop the most cost effective backplane in the market. The design offers unprecedented optimization between cost and performance by reducing the number of layers, while maintaining performance requirements of the ATCA standard.
